Appeals Information


There is an Appeal Process which enables parents/carers to appeal against non-admission to the school. If you are not happy with the allocated school place on 1 March:

Any girls who have met the qualifying standard for Stroud High School can ask to go on our waiting list.  Gloucestershire County Council’s (GCC’s) waiting list deadline is 8 March 2021.  GCC will notify parents of the outcome of waiting list requests after 30 March 2021.

If your daughter has not been successful in gaining a place at Stroud High School for entry in Year 7 in September 2021, you do have a statutory right to appeal before an Independent Admissions Appeal panel. Additionally, if you believe extenuating circumstances may have affected your daughter's performance on the day of the test this may be grounds for your appeal.  You may find it helpful reading the 2020-21 Appeal Guidance Notes, see below.

Please email the Admissions Team on or telephone 01453 764441. An Appeal Information pack can be sent to you after 1 March. Please note that the school will be closed for the Easter break from Friday 2 to Friday 16 April so please request one before this date if possible.
